Default BT LE vs WiFi

What are the pros and cons of BT Le vs WiFi.

Basically I want to communicate with your wireless tablet / phone from the embedded device. I can't make up my mind whether to go for BT Le module or WiFi module?

I have the following questions about BT Le :
1. It will work with Bluetooth phone, although the phone is not Bluetooth Le?
2. This Bluetooth Le is currently available on all modern phones and the implementation is quite stable.
3. It would be preferable to use BT Le module or a microcontroller with built-in Bluetooth Le as St BlueNRG1 or series kinetis W.
4. What is the profile of psychology will be suitable for such use.
From what I have read, the maximum theoretical speed ota for psychology is 1 Mbps, what would we practically do.
Basically I send data from sensors on the psychology of connection with your phone / tablet.

Your opinion will be highly appreciated.
