Qualcomm Incorporated announced that its subsidiary, Qualcomm Technologies International Ltd is now shipping DirectOffice™ direct rendering software in several new multifunction printers (MFPs) from Sharp.
The recently launched MX-2650FN, MX-3150FN and MX-3650FN in Japan, and the MX-3070N, MX-3570N and MX-4070N in North America utilize DirectOffice to enable quick printing of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel documents directly from mobile devices, the cloud and USB drives, without the need for a PC, Office application or print driver.
Whatever the source, DirectOffice software ensures high-fidelity output by including a precise layout engine and patented font emulation technology. Version 3.1 of DirectOffice is available to printer OEMs for evaluation and license today.
