- UCC3895 CD Output Asymmetric Duty Cycle OperationPDF, 70 Kb, File published: Aug 21, 2002
A small number of current-mode applications using non?synchronous output stages have experienced asymmetric pulse widths on the OUTC and OUTD outputs of the UCC3895. Applications using synchronous rectification and/or voltage mode control typically do not experience this anomaly. For the cost of a single resistor, a simple fix allows reliable and stable operation of the UCC3895. - UCC2895 Layout and Grounding RecommendationsPDF, 393 Kb, File published: Apr 9, 2009
The UCC2895 family of Phase Shifted Full Bridge Power Converters Control Circuits are designed to provide efficient power conversion with minimal noise generation. This is accomplished by the resonant switching of the primary side voltages, which minimizes the switching losses and the voltage/current transients that would be present in a hard switched conventional full bridge power supply. - A Power Management Solution for Efficient, Multiple Output ApplicationsPDF, 293 Kb, File published: Oct 4, 2001
- A Comparison Between the BiCMOS UCC3895 Phase Shift Controller and the UC3875PDF, 21 Kb, File published: Feb 22, 2001
This application report compares the BiCMOS UCC3895 to its bipolar predecessors, the UC3875/6/7/8 family and the UC3879 controller. All of these integrated circuits provide the control and drive signals needed to implement a full-bridge converter using phase-shifted control. The UCC3895 represents the latest offering in the Texas Instruments line of phase-shift controllers, incorporating a feature - DN-63 The Current-Doubler Rectifier: An Alternative Rectification TechniquePDF, 81 Kb, File published: Jan 12, 2001
The UC3875, UC3879, and UC3895 families of ICs control a bridge power stage by phase-shifting the switching of one half-bridge with respect to the other. This method allows constant-frequency pulse-width modulation in combination with resonant, zero-voltage switching for high efficiency performance. These ICs can be configured to provide control in either voltage mode or current mode operation, wi - Phase Shifted Full Bridge, Zero Voltage Transition Design Considerations (Rev. A)PDF, 393 Kb, Revision: A, File published: Jan 22, 2011
This Application Note will highlight the design considerations incurred in a high frequency power supply using the Phase Shifted Resonant PWM control technique. An overview of this switching technique including comparisons to existing fixed frequency non-resonant and variable frequency Zero Voltage Switching is included. - Synchronous Rectifiers of a Current DoublerPDF, 207 Kb, File published: Feb 27, 2003
Driving a current doubler synchronous rectification output stage can be a very complex task, especially for a phase shifted full bridge topology. However, using the A and B outputs of the UCC3895 along with the UCC37324 dual 4-A MOSFET driver, direct PWM control of a synchronous rectifier current doubler output stage achieves. This technique provides the proper gating and timing signals necessary - Current Doubler Rectifier Offers Ripple Current CancellationPDF, 116 Kb, File published: Sep 21, 2004
