Application Notes
- Starting Up A Buck Regulator With a Voltage Present At V OUT (Rev. A)PDF, 31 Kb, Revision: A, File published: Apr 30, 2013
This application report describes a buck regulator’s inability to startup when there is a voltage alreadypresent at the regulator’s output (VOUT). Although the LM5007 is used in this application report, the samediscussion applies to the LM50xx and LM349xx series of buck regulators. - Analysis & Design of Hysteretic Constant Freq Buck Regr Using the LM5007 (Rev. B)PDF, 403 Kb, Revision: B, File published: Apr 30, 2013
This application report describes the operation of the LM5007, and provides a step-by-step procedure forselecting the external components. - Controlling Output Ripple & Achiev ESR Indep Constant On-Time Reg Designs (Rev. A)PDF, 178 Kb, Revision: A, File published: Apr 23, 2013
Of all the voltage regulator control strategies ever devised, the hysteretic regulator is probably about thesimplest. This control methodology simply turns a switch on when the output voltage is below a referenceand turns the switch off when the output rises to a slightly higher reference. The output ripple is thereforea direct function of the difference between the upper and lower reference
