SO Package with Standard Pinout
The LT®2178 is a micropower dual op amp in a surface n
Supply Current per Amplifi er: 17μA Max
mount standard 8-pin confi guration, the LT2179 is a n
Offset Voltage: 70μV Max
micropower quad op amp offered in a surface mount n Offset Current: 250pA Max 14-pin package. Both devices are optimized for single n Input Bias Current: 5nA Max supply operation at 5V. Specifi cations are also provided n Voltage Noise: 0.9μVP-P, 0.1Hz to 10Hz at ±15V supply. n Current Noise: 1.5pAP-P, 0.1Hz to 10Hz The extremely low supply current is combined with true n Offset Voltage Drift: 0.5μV/°C precision specifi cations: offset voltage is 30μV and offset n Gain Bandwidth Product: 85kHz current is 50pA. Both offset parameters have low drift with n Slew Rate: 0.04V/μs temperature. The 1.5pAP-P current noise and picoampere n Single Supply Operation offset current permit the use the megohm level source Input Voltage Range Includes Ground resistors without introducing serious errors. Voltage Output Swings to Ground while Sinking Current noise, at 0.9μVP-P, is remarkably low considering the low No Pull-Down Resistors Needed supply current. n Output Sources and Sinks 5mA Load Current The LT2178/LT2179 can be operated from a single supply (as low as one lithium-cell or two NiCd batteries). The input

range goes below ground. The all-NPN output stage swings n to within a few millivolts of ground while sinking current. Battery- or Solar-Powered Systems No power consuming pull down resistors are needed. Portable Instrumentation Remote Sensor Amplifi er For surface mount applications where three times higher Satellite Circuitry supply current is acceptable, the micropower LT1077 n Micropower Sample-and-Hold single, LT2078 dual and LT2079 quad are recommended. n Thermocouple Amplifi er The LT1077/LT2078/LT2079 have signifi cantly higher n Micropower Filters bandwidth, slew rate, lower voltage noise and better output L, LT, LTC, LTM, Linear Technology and the Linear logo are registered trademarks of Linear drive capability.
