Signal lines should J1, J4 pCb mount Sma rf Connectors have 50 Ohm impedance while the package ground J5 - J10 DC pin leads and exposed paddle should be connected C1 - C5 100 pf Capacitor, 0402 pkg. directly to the ground plane similar to that shown. C6 - C10 1000 pf Capacitor, 0603 pkg. a sufficient number of via holes should be used to C11 - C15 2.2 µf Capacitor, CaSe a connect the top and bottom ground planes. The U1 HmC996lp4e Variable Gain amplifier evaluation circuit board shown is available from Hit- pCb [2] 600-00113-00 evaluation pCb tite upon request.
