The ILD8150 turns the output stage respectively off when the PWM dimming input signal duty cycle is less than DPWM_IN,OFF and on when the PWM dimming input signal duty cycle is higher than DPWM_IN,ON. The two dim-to-off levels create a hysteresis that avoids unstable states at the on/off boundary.
