Infineon's EiceDRIVER™ 2ED300C17-S/-ST is a dual-channel, high-voltage gate driver board for all Infineon IGBT modules up to 1700V. It is the perfect fit for applications with power ratings of 75kW to 1MW and stringent safety and reliability requirements.

The driver offers outstanding protection features and integrated fault management to ensure safe operation. Desaturation monitoring is used to detect short circuits. If a short circuit is detected, a soft shut-down function switches off the IGBT to prevent high switching overvoltages. Undervoltage lock-out (UVLO) ensures that the driver does not work with gate voltages that are too low. The reinforced isolation between the primary and secondary side is a further important safety function.

The two galvanically isolated channels enable the device to be used in direct mode and half-bridge mode. In half-bridge mode, an interlocking logic prevents cross-currents. The integrated isolated power supply also allows IGBT modules to be easily installed in parallel.

A revised version of the product is available now. The updated version is more robust and reliable. Its layout has been updated and its circuits have been integrated to further improve operation in harsh industrial environments.
