Featuring low power, jitter, and crosstalk, the AVSP-8801 is an 8-channel unidirectional retimer IC that operates at any speed from 1 to 28 Gbps in a protocol-agnostic fashion. With this device, Avago offers data center, enterprise and OTN switch and router manufacturers a best-in-class retimer solution for network backplane and portside applications.
The AVSP-8801 features built-in test and channel analysis capabilities such as pattern generation, eye capture, and error detection. The user can control the device via MDIO, I2C, or JTAG, and the Avago-provided API facilitates seamless software integration.
