Infineon's NovalithIC™ devices (BTN89x2) provide a complete, low-ohmic protected half-bridge in a single package. These solutions can also be combined with an additional NovalithIC™ to create an H-bridge or 3-phase bridge.
The new NovalithIC™ family has a typ. path resistance @ 25°C down to 10 mΩ and has the capability to switch high-frequency PWM while providing overcurrent, overvoltage and overtemperature protection. This family offers cost-optimized, scalable solutions for protected high-current PWM motor drives with very restrictive board space. NovalithIC™ includes a P-N MOSFET enabling a significant reduction of EME (Electro Magnetic Emissions) and power dissipation thanks to an optimized switching shape and the absence of a charge pump.
With an operating voltage range extending up to 40 V, the new NovalithIC™ devices are ideal for a broad range of automotive and industrial applications.
