Holtek is delighted to announce the release of its new I/O with OPA type MCU, the HT48R066G. Device features include 4K x 15 of Program Memory, 128 x 8 of Data Memory RAM and up to 26 I/O pins. Additionally, the two internal operational amplifiers and single internal comparator functions can have their input offset adjusted down to ± 4mV using the application program, giving better OPA ideal characteristics and in the process expanding the device application range.

The HT48R066G contains an internal R-Type LCD COM driver and multiple system oscillator options which include high frequency crystal oscillator, low frequency 32 KHz crystal oscillator, external RC oscillator and a fully internal accurate RC oscillator. The internal RC oscillator has fixed frequencies of 4MHz, 8MHz and 12MHz and requires no external components and incorporates a fast wake-up features if powered down. The device also includes dual high/low frequency operation as well as an RTC function. The special characteristics of the HT48R066G lie in its high level of functional integration which greatly reduces the external component count, reduces the product PCB area with resulting reduced manufacturing costs. These features combine to make the device suitable for use in the household appliance area, especially for applications which require an LCD. Applications could include switched-mode power supplies, inductive cookers, electric blankets, electric hobs, washing machines, dish dryers and multiple function battery chargers etc.
