Industrial Development Kit Texas Instruments TMDXIDK3359

Description

Detailed Description

The AM3359 Industrial Development Kit (IDK) is a full-featured application development platform for evaluating the capabilities and features of Sitara AM335x generation of ARM Cortex-A8 microprocessors (MPUs) for industrial applications.

The AM335x ARM Cortex-A8 based microprocessors are optimized for industrial communications, industrial control, and industrial drives applications.

The AM335x processors integrate a broad range of industrial communication standards that work on Ethernet, CAN, and RS-485 physical layers.

The AM3359 IDK enables customers to evaluate and develop applications that require industrial communication standards such as CANOpen, PROFIBUS, EtherCAT, Ethernet/IP, PROFINET and SERCOS-III with minimal developmental efforts below the Application Layer. The hardware and software resources required for physical and data link layers are included on AM3359 ARM MPU and the IDK.

To simplify the development process, the IDK includes evaluation copies of software frameworks such as the SYS/BIOS real-time kernel, application stacks for industrial communication standards, and sample applications that enable compelling demonstrations of the capabilities of the IDK. Complete software tool chain is included to facilitate the software development efforts.
