Evaluation Module Texas Instruments DRV10866EVM
DRV10866EVM Description
Detailed Description
The DRV10866EVM (evaluation module) provides a cost effective, low voltage, sensorless-solution for running a 3-phase BLDC motor in 150 degree trapezoidal commutation.
Features
- 2-5.5V supply voltage range
- 680mA peak output current
- Allows user to spin their motor in two easy steps: Attach power.
Attach motor.
- Easy speed control with onboard poteometer and 555 timer
- PWM and FG connect pins allow for optional closed loop MCU control
- Fully protected and robust solution
- Highly integrated: Single motor driver eliminates the need for external gate drivers, inverters, position detection and feedback, along with a microcontroller (MCU) and firmware, to cut board space, system cost and development time.
- Spins motors in minutes: Utilizes TI InstaSPIN-FAN motor solutions, a fully protected robust solution with no coding and very few external components needed to get motors spinning.
- Reduces power consumption by up to 75 percent: Wide operating voltage range of 1.65 V to 5.5 V and low quiescent current of 5 uA extends the battery life of portable devices, such as toothbrushes and shavers, compared to existing solutions.
- Flexibility to add advanced control: Can be combined with a TI MSP430 MCU for designs requiring user interface and closed-loop speed control.
