Development System mikroElektronika Easy8051 v6

Easy8051 v6 development system supports a wide range of Atmel 8051 microcontrollers.

Detailed Description

Easy8051 v6 allows 8051 microcontrollers to be interfaced with numerous peripheral devices. It comes with an AT89S8253.

Very fast, on-board USB 2.0 programmer with a simplified driver installation. Serial COG Display that uses SPI interface is available for displaying text messages.On-board 16-bit I/O port expander MCP23S17 that uses SPI communication. Seven-segment displays in multiplex mode are connected to the microcontroller socket.

What's On-Board

  • RS-232 communication with a PC or a microcontroller is performed via DB9 connector.
  • System can be easily configured by means of DIP switches. Each DIP switch configures one part of the system.
  • Temperature sensor DS1820 measures temperature from -55°C to 125°C. It is connected to the system via socket.
  • 4 seven-segment displays in multiplex mode. They also have an interface to the microcontroller.
  • On-board A/D converter MCP3204 with a potentiometer is used for testing multiple A/D conversions.
  • USB or external power supply source is selected by moving a jumper. Power supply switch turns the system on/off.
  • Voltage reference for A/D converter can be VCC (5V) or 4.096 V.
  • All pins are connected to the IDC10 connectors for further expansion.
  • 38 LEDs (Light Emitting Diodes) are used to indicate the logic state of all microcontroller pins.
  • On-board jumpers used for pull-up/pull-down port configuration. These jumpers are available for all pins.
  • 38 push buttons are used to excite microcontroller digital inputs. They are connected to all microcontrollers pins.
  • DIP switch is used to separate port pins from pull-up/pull-down resistors.
  • Fast, on-board USB 2.0 programmer. There is no need to connect the external programmer.
  • LCD can be easily connected via the on-board connector. This connector is also connected to MCU pins.
  • LCD Contrast Potentiometer is used for adjusting LCD contrast in a fast and easy way.
  • System provides support for MCUs in DIP14, DIP16, DIP20, DIP28, DIP40, PLCC44 and PLCC32 pin packages.
  • All MCU pins are marked on the back of the board. These marks provide basic information on the pins.
  • Voltage level to be applied when a button is pressed (GND or +5V) is selected by means of the on-board jumper.
  • Graphic LCD 128x64 can be easily connected via the on-board connector. It is also connected to MCU pins.
  • Reset circuit is used to reset the microcontroller. It is connected to the MCLR pin of the microcontroller.
  • GLCD Contrast Potentiometer is used for adjusting graphic LCD contrast.

USB 2.0 Programmer is driven by a single USB port on a PC. No additional AC power adapter is needed. The programmer is recognized by Windows, which simplifies the driver installation. The programmer board is specifically designed for In-Circuit Serial Programming (ICSP).
