- Closer to real-world analog filtersThere are two basic filter topologies that everyone recommends when they start to design their signal chain: multiple-feedback (MFB) or Sallen-Key topologies. But what are the differences and why would you choose one...16-10-2023
- Photosensing with ambient backgroundTrying to shield ambient light from your photo circuit is not a trivial task. You would think that you could just cover your circuit with your hands, but that is not a solution: Pulse oximeters depend on the...13-03-2023
- Can you find the missing 1Surprise, surprise. The bandwidth of an amplifier in a gain of +1 V/V is not the same as the bandwidth of the same amplifier in a gain of –1 V/V. After more than five years of working every day with amplifiers for...14-05-2015
- Simply an adjustable low-pass filterA low-pass filter is the most common filter found in data acquisition systems. Typically this type of filter is used to reduce analog-to-digital converter (ADC) aliasing errors and noise outside the signal bandwidth. A...13-01-2015
