John Woodgate

John Woodgate is an engineer with a background in the consumer products and sound reinforcement industries. His experience includes work on audio product design and development at a large multinational company, along with project management and independent consulting. John is a Chartered Engineer, a Member of the British IEE, a Life Fellow of the Audio Engineering Society, an Honorary Fellow of the Institute of Sound and Communications Engineers, and a Member of the Institute of Acoustics.

John regularly writes and lectures on several subjects—including standards, sound reinforcement, EMC, and audio technology to name a few. He has more than 50 years experience of in British and international standards committee work. For several years, John served as Chairman of the British Standards (BSI) technical committee EPL/100 and is a member of many other BSI committees.
