Fons Janssen is a Principal Member of Technical Staff for Analog Devices. Prior to joining the company in 2003, he worked at ThreeFive Photonics developing integrated optical circuits, and before that at Lucent Technologies, where he worked on optical-access networks. He graduated from Eindhoven University of Technology (The Netherlands) with an Electrical Engineering degree. Postgraduate studies at this university led to a Master's degree in Technological Design.

- LED drivers minimize power dissipationOne option for driving high-brightness LEDs uses the standard stepdown buck converter (Figure 1). The sense resistor, RS, generates a feedback voltage, VFB, that sets the desired LED current, ILED, according to the equation Figure 1. A...27-08-2024
- How to measure capacity versus bias voltage on MLCCsIntroduction High-capacity, multilayer ceramic capacitors (MLCC) have a property often not well understood by electronic designers: the capacitance of these devices varies with applied DC voltage. This phenomenon is present in all high-dielectric constant, or Class II...20-02-2017
