Application Notes
- High Efficiency Dual Chemistry Charger Using the bq2000PDF, 130 Kb, File published: Sep 5, 1999
In this example, the bq2000 is used to design a simple and cost-effective chemistry-independent charger. This implementation is suitable for any application requiring a high efficiency charge management in a small footprint. - Bq2000 in Constant Voltage Phase for Li-ion BatteryPDF, 533 Kb, File published: Oct 31, 2011
The bq2000 charger can be used to charge Li-Ion, NiCd, or NiMH batteries. It uses three charging modes, the pre-charge, fast charge, and termination mode. It detects the battery chemistry type during the fast charge mode by monitoring the battery voltage profile. Once the chemistry is determined, the part completes the fast charge algorithm for the appropriate chemistry type. For Li-Ion batteries, - U-504 Using the bq2000/T to Control Fast Charge (Rev. B)PDF, 193 Kb, Revision: B, File published: Dec 2, 2004
The bq2000/T are programmable, monolithic ICs for fast-charge management of nickel cadmium, nickel metal-hydride, and lithium-ion batteries in single- or multichemistry applications. This application note discusses simple ways to select all necessary components to implement various switch-mode topologies. It also discusses how to configure the bq2000/T inputs to accomodate different appplication c - Battery Charger Termination Issues With System Load Applied Across Battery (Rev.
