6.2. Turn ON / OFF Procedure (I2C Bus Control Mode / Standalone Control Mode)
This product has a hardware standby pin for reducing current in standby state, and an emergency stop in the I2C incommunicable state. Additionally, this product also supports the standby control (software standby) via I2C bus communication.
6.2.1. I2C Bus Control Mode
(1) Software standby state Supplying the voltage of 2.2 V or more to Stby pin (Pin 22) enables the software standby control via I2C bus. The I2C bus communication is enabled after setting the Stby pin (Pin 22) to High and waiting for 1 ms or more. In the software standby state, since the interface circuit of I2C bus is always ON, the current of 2.0 mA (typ.) which includes the current flowing to ADSEL resistor, flows to the IC. At that time, the current to flow to RADSEL is as follows per setting. RADSEL 0 Ω = 500 µA (typ.) RADSEL 1 kΩ= 420 µA (typ.) RADSEL 2.2 kΩ= 350 µA (typ.) RADSEL 4.7 kΩ= 260 µA (typ.) For the Slave address assignment of each RADSEL setting, refer to Section 6.3. (2) Standby / Mute OFF state In the state of (1) shown in the above, when a standby-off command (IB2-D4=1) is transmitted via I2C bus, the charging to the capacitor connected to Ripple pin (Pin 13) starts. Then the operation starts. At that time, Mute is released by transmitting a mute OFF command (IB2-D2 Front, IB1-D1 Rear=1) via I2C bus. However, if the hardware mute is not released (the Mute pin (Pin 26) is input to Low), the mute is not released. (3) Standby OFF / Mute ON state (at turning off the power) In the state of (2) shown in the above, when a mute ON command (IB1-D2 Front, IB1-D1 Rear=0) is transmitted via I2C bus, the mute can be set. Although the mute delay time can be set by various setting, please confirm and set the time constants for the normal mute operation to prevent a pop noise. The fast mute should be used at rapidly battery voltage fluctuation etc. (4) Software standby state (at turning off the power) In the state of (3) shown in the above, when a standby-on command (IB2-D3=0) is transmitted via I2C bus, the state enters to the standby state. Please set the mute state surely before entering to the software standby. If the software standby command is transmitted before setting mute, the fast mute operation starts previously. (5) Hardware standby state (at turning off the power) When the Stby pin (Pin 22) is set to 0.8 V or less, the IC enters to the standby state. At that time, the current which flows to the IC becomes 1 µA (typ.). If the software standby is not made ON, and Stby pin is falling, the fast mute (time constant: 1 ms or less) operates. 6 2018-10-23
