Torex Semiconductor Ltd. has developed new 200mA high-accuracy negative voltage regulators with ON/OFF switch.
The XC6901/XC6902 series of ±1.5% high-accuracy negative voltage regulators have an output current of 200mA and support low ESR capacitors. The XC6901 series includes a CE pin and enables control from a microprocessor by direct positive voltage. A CL discharge function is provided, and the input voltage is -2.4V to -12.4V (VCE=3.6V). The XC6902 series consists of 3-pin regulators that support an input voltage of -2.4V to -16V. Both series support output voltages of -0.9V to -12V in steps of 0.1V. Applications include CCD system power supplies and bias power supplies for LCD modules and other devices. Dropout Voltage is 400mV (IOUT = 100mA).
The XC6901/XC6902 series includes a fold-back type current limiting circuit (350mA TYP.) and a thermal shutdown protection circuit. The SOT-25, SOT-89-5, and USP-6C packages are available for the XC6901 series, and the SOT-23, SOT-89, and USP-6C packages are available for the XC6902 series. These environment friendly products comply with the EU RoHS Directive and are Pb free.
