The Spanish company Relequick have began production of temperature controllers SMX-T80. This electronic device monitors the temperature of the controlled system and uses its GSM communications modem to send SMS messages notifying about any important deviations detected on the measured value.
Technical features
- Configurable per SMS or with a mobile application. A password protects the system against unauthorized access.
- Information reforwarding without further configuration needed.
- Temperature window alarm with external temperature probe (temperature range from –25° C to 85° C).
- Three modes of alarm reset available:
- Forced mode: keeps the last fired alarm fixed
- Timed mode: limits the number of alarm messages sent
- Automatic mode: the alarm is automatically reset when the temperature is back within the valid range
- Light indicator of fired temperature alarm.
- Temperature alarms can be configured to activate the siren for a given time or to keep it active till the alarm is manually reset.
- Supply failure and recovery alarm. A timed delay may be programmed so that the alarm does not fire immediately.
- Temperature probe failure alarm. It is fired whenever the probe is disconnected or fails.
- Adjustable thermostat hysteresis. Heat and cold modes possible.
- Two voltage free switch inputs for the manual control of the relays.
- Built-in programmable switch to reset the alarms.
- Built-in switch for memory reset. A system memory reset restores default values, such as the default access password.
Uses and applications
This device is useful within systems that need real-time monitoring of the temperature or temperature control in general. The following are among the most common applications:
- Cold stores and food stores in general
- Refrigerated containers
- Freezing cabinets
- Ice cream freezers
- Refrigerated showcases
- Storerooms and cellars
- Server rooms
