ESS Technology announces the addition of the ES9112 SABRE32 Ultra ADC to its high performance audio converter product line.
The ES9112 SABRE32 Ultra ADC is the latest and highest price-performance derivative of the world beater SABRE32 Reference ADC (ES9102, -120dB THD) introduced in 2011. It is a two-channel 32-bit analog-to-digital (A/D) converter targeted for consumer applications such as audio pre-amplifiers, audio processors, A/V receivers, turntables, and professional audio applications such as recording systems, mixer consoles and digital audio workstations.
With the ESS patented 32-bit Hyperstream ADC architecture, the ES9112 SABRE32 Ultra delivers unparalleled sound stage and breathtaking performance of 124dB DNR and 0.00025% (-112dB) THD+N – a level that will satisfy the most demanding audio enthusiasts.
The ES9112 SABRE32 Ultra ADC implements a 32-bit programmable decimation filter and outputs the full 32-bit resolution in I2S mode, or 24-bit resolution in SPDIF mode. A digital high-pass filter is available for DC removal. Additionally, a programmable 8-band biquad filter is implemented for RIAA or custom equalization. The ES9112A SABRE32 Ultra ADC supports synchronous SPDIF or I2S master/slave output, or asynchronous I2S slave output relative to the master clock for up to 384kHz sample rate and consumes less than 200mW.
The ES9112 SABRE32 Ultra ADC is sampling now in 28-SOP package and priced at $12 in quantities of 1000. Evaluation boards are also available for $450.
