Eases the Development of Solutions With Microchip’s MGC3130, the World’s First E-Field-Based 3D Gesture Controller
Microchip Technology Inc. announced the new MGC3130 Hillstar Development Kit for 3D gesturing systems. The kit provides designers with an easy, step-by-step approach to develop 3D gesturing systems with Microchip’s MGC3130 and electrodes that meet their specific space requirements. The MGC3130 is the world’s first single-chip 3D gesture/free space position tracking solution.
The MGC3130 Hillstar Development Kit is a complete MGC3130 reference system, consisting of a MGC3130 Module and one example reference electrode. With several additional reference electrode designs, the Aurea Graphical User Interface Software, and an I2C to USB Bridge Module, the MGC3130 Hillstar Development Kit enables an easy design-in of the MGC3130 into several different form factors.
The GestIC Technology enabled with the MGC3130 serves a wide range of applications in the computing (e.g., laptops, keyboards, input devices); lighting (e.g., lighting switches and controls); consumer-electronic (e.g., audio docks, printers and copiers); and automotive markets (e.g., automotive interior controls), among others. The Hillstar Development Kit provides designers with the path to integrate Microchip’s industry-leading technology in their applications, in the shortest possible time.
