Voltage Reference from Diodes Incorporated Delivers High Stability at Low Power

Diodes Incorporated ZXRE330

Diodes Incorporated introduced the ZXRE330. This 3.3 V shunt voltage reference helps achieve improvements in both stability and power consumption for portable instrumentation and battery-powered equipment such as notebook computers. Pin-compatible with industry-standard parts, the ZXRE330 is offered in surface-mount SOT23 and through-hole TO92 package options.

With a typical temperature coefficient as low as 20ppm/ºC, this precision micropower device provides highly stable performance across an industrial operating temperature range of –40°C to +85°C. Output voltage tolerance is tight: ±2% at +25°C for the ZXRE330E and ±0.5% at +25°C for the ZXRE330A.

The ZXRE330’s low power performance is a result of its very low knee current of 1 µA typical with excellent performance maintained over the device’s full operating current range of 2 µA to 5 mA.

The ZXRE330 reference has also been designed to be highly tolerant of capacitive loads and requires no output capacitor. In addition, its low output noise performance of 55 µVRMS ensures a clean output from 10 Hz to 10 kHz.
