The new Infineon's TOLL package is optimized for high-current automotive applications such as power steering, brushless DC drives, battery management and battery safety switches. TOLL is a perfect solution for high-power applications, where highest efficiency, outstanding EMI behavior, best thermal behavior and a compact footprint are required.
TOLL is designed for high currents up to 300 A. In combination with Infineon's latest OptiMOS™ automotive silicon technology, TOLL offers very low RDS(on) levels. This reduces the number of parallel MOSFETs in all high-current applications and increases power density.
In addition, a 60% reduction in package size makes for highly compact designs. Compared with the D²PAK 7 package, the new TOLL offers an impressive 30% reduction in footprint. The 50% reduced height is a significant advantage in applications where compact design is essential.
Moreover low package parasitic inductances result in improved EMI behavior. A 50% increase in the solder contact area avoids electro-migration at high current levels, which results in improved reliability.
This TOLL product is AEC-Q101-qualified and 100% lead-free.
