Hybrid Construction Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitors

NIC Components NSPE-TC

PowerPulse

NIC Components announced the release of NSPE-TC series claiming the maximum capacitance value per case size obtainable today. The advanced aluminum foil technology used in NSPE-TC series results in improved volumetric efficiency to meet the requirements of high-density designs, support lower-profile applications and reduce the size of PCB assemblies. Case sizes ranging from 8 mm × 10.5 mm to 10.5 mm × 12.5 mm V-Chip constructions. Capacitance values range from 33 µF to 560 µF in 25 V and 35 V ratings.

Operating temperature for the NSPE-TC series is –55 to +125 degrees C with load life endurance rating of 4,000 hours at +125 degrees C. The NSPE-TC Series meets PB-Free reflow conditions up to 260 degrees C and is RoHS Compliant without exemptions, halogen free and REACH compliant.

Hybrid capacitors incorporate the best elements of both solid polymer and liquid electrolyte construction to achieve ultra-low ESR, high ripple current ratings, low leakage current and superior stability over voltage and temperature. The NSPE-TC series meets the requirements of AECQ200 and suggested for use in automotive grade applications or where higher quality components may be required.

NSPE-TC series features include:

  • Higher capacitance per case size;
  • Stable ESR & Z over Temperature;
  • Low ESR (20 mΩ to 33 mΩ) & High Ripple Current (1.95 A to 3.0 A) ratings;
  • Reduce the number of components used;
  • Low leakage current, upgrade over solid polymer type.
