Texas Instruments

HANNOVER, GERMANY (March 6, 2003)- Swissvoice, an internationally active Swiss telecommunications supplier of fixed network products, has selected Texas Instruments Incorporated's (TI) (NYSE: TXN) IP phone silicon and software products for its next-generation communications platform as an extension to their current collaboration on IP phones. TI's award-winning, complete IP phone solution is powering the new swissvoice IP 10 Phone, which will be demonstrated in the swissvoice booth -- stand F31, Hall 27 "Kompetenzpark Schweiz" - at the CeBIT 2003 trade show in Hannover, Germany, March 12 -19.

The swissvoice IP 10 phone will complement its existing family of compliant standards-based and open IP phones. The IP 10 will run through the MGCP, H.323 and SIP signaling protocols, using TI's reliable platform. As a result, the interoperability capabilities of the swissvoice IP phones should prove attractive for a large number of IP-Centrex , hosted-PBX and LAN-PBX third-party solutions. Swissvoice IP phones are perfectly adapted to both the business and residential markets, and the advanced features and reduced price level of the IP 10 makes real economical sense for large scale deployments.
