Detailed Description

The VNC2 is accessed via an onboard daughterboard module enabling support for 32, 48 and 64-pin QFN package types (V2-EVAL-EXT32, V2-EVAL-EXT48, V2-EVAL-EXT64). The V2-EVAL is supplied as a kit together with power supply, USB cable and USB gender changer.

Features of the V2-EVAL kit include:

  • Socket site to support 32/48/64-pin VNC2 daughterboards (sold separately).
  • 2 USB type-A connectors for USB interfacing to VNC2.
  • Single USB type-B connector for software configuration access via onboard FT4232H device.
  • I/O headers providing access to major VNC2 device interfaces including UART, FIFO, GPIO, SPI and PWM interfaces.
  • Large breadboard style prototyping area with 1100 × 0.1” pitch holes for customer circuit development.
  • Integrated debug interface for connecting to the Vinculum II software development tools.
  • Can be powered via USB or via external power supply.

  • Board supply current: 60mA (with no USB devices on USB1 or USB2 port).

  • VNC2 daughterboard dimensions: 37.9mm × 32.48mm × 10.0mm (L × W × H).

The V2-Eval kit includes the following hardware items as standard

  • 1 × V2-Eval base board.
  • 1 × 5V/1A mains adapter PSU – UK, US, European and Japanese versions available.
  • 1 × USB A/B cable to connect to a host PC in programming / terminal emulation or debugging modes.
  • 1 × USB gender changer for USB slave mode applications.
