The Avago ACPL-K24L is a dual-channel stretched SO-8 package version of the compact ACPL-x2xL 5 MBd digital optocoupler product family. The device features high-performance LED and detector IC design. The detector has a CMOS output stage and an optical receiver input stage with built-in Schmitt triggers to provide logic-compatible waveforms, eliminating the need for additional waveshaping. The ACPL-K24L is extremely low power performing at maximum 1.1 mA IDD current per channel across industrial temperature range. With a forward LED current as low as 1.6 mA, most microprocessors (MCUs) can directly drive the LED.
An internal shield on the ACPL-K24L guarantees common mode transient immunity of 25 kV/µs at a common mode voltage of 1000 V over a temperature range of -40 °C to +105 °C. The device has glitch-free output upon system power-up and power-down.
