Freescale Semiconductor offers a new series of pressure sensors with enhanced media protection and a special port for easier implementation. Supporting a wide range of applications, the MPVZ4006, MPVZ5004 and MPVZ5010, sensing a pressure range of 4 kPa (40 cm of water), 6 kPa (60 cm) and 10 kPa (100 cm) respectively, are particularly effective for water level measurement.
Each device has a robust vertical port that is longer and wider than previous devices to make sure whatever tubing is used adequately covers the port — and stays in place. Providing greater mounting flexibility with a secure fit, the MPVZ pressure sensors accommodate industrial grade tubing for such applications as health care systems, appliances and industrial designs. Like Freescale’s other pressure sensors, the MPVZ devices provide an absolute sensing reference with on-chip signal conditioning, temperature compensation and calibration.
