Analog Devices introduced the LTM4664, a complete non-isolated 48 V input high efficiency, step-down µModule® regulator with dual 25 A outputs. The regulator integrates the power MOSFETs, switching controllers, inductors and supporting components. Only external capacitors are needed to complete the design.
Applications for the regulator module include 48 V systems, computer and networking equipment, electronic test equipment, and energy storage systems.
Operating over a 30 V to 58 V input voltage range, the LTM4664 supports an output voltage of 0.5 V to 1.5 V at up to 75 W. An intermediate output at 25% VIN is also available. At 50 A for 48 V to 1 V the regulator delivers 88% efficiency.

The LTM4664 dual 25 A regulators employ digitally programmable analog control loops, precision data acquisition circuitry, and EEPROM with ECC. Its 2-wire serial interface allows the 25 A outputs to be margined, tuned, and ramped up and down at programmable slew rates and sequencing delay times.
True input current sense, output currents, and voltages, input and output power, temperatures, uptime, and peak values are all readable. It features dual analog loops. Compensation, control, and monitoring is accomplished via a 400 kHz PMBus-compliant I2C serial interface. The regulator is in a 16 mm × 16 mm × 7.72 mm BGA package, and it can scale up to 300 A.
The device has ±3% output current readback accuracy at operating temperatures of –20 °C to 125 °C and a ±0.5% output voltage accuracy over the temperature range.
