Holtek is pleased to announce the release of its new series of A/D type Voice microcontrollers. Within this new range are included the HT86A36, HT86A72, and HT86AR72 devices offering the users a wide range of voice capacities of 36 and 72 seconds as well as Voice ROM capacities of 96Kbyte and 192Kbyte. The HT86AR72 is an OTP type MCU which can be used as a development device for both the HT86A36 and HT86A72 during product design.
The HT86Axx series includes a Holtek 8-bit MCU core, a high resolution single channel audio 12-bit DAC, a 1.0W Power AMP for direct speaker driving as well as a 4-channel 12-bit Analog to Digital Converter and RTC function. The HT86Axx series is not only suitable for applications such as high level toys and voice broadcast equipment, but by having an internal RTC wake-up function will also find applications in products with low power consumption requirements. The inclusion of a fully integrated 1.0W Power amplifier ensures that the requirements on external components are kept to a bare minimum.
