Chip BGF148 is the latest addition to Infineon passive protection IC family with integrated ESD/EMI protection for flash memory interfaces. This family now comprises BGF BGF104c, BGF117, BGF148 and BGF149 and thus addresses all flash memory cards from MMC to SD and µSD.
Previously, it supported speed ranges from 12.5MB/s to 25MB/s. With the launch of BGF148, it now also covers 104MB/s. BGF148 utilizes a new technology that allows line capacitance to be reduced to 1.2pF despite integrated pi-type ESD/EMI filtering. Low line capacitance enables data transfer rates up to 104MB/s without negative impact on data signal integrity.
